My name is Colin Baird and I love travelling in Scotland, my home country, on a bicycle. My dream is to see all of Scotland by bike. Many people cycle around the world or across a continent and blog about one-off adventures. My approach is different as I want to explore one country in-depth and this is not a one-off trip- I keep on exploring.

This website is primarily a travel guide to Scotland. It just so happens that I use a bicycle to transport me. So, this site is not just for cyclists, but for anybody interested in Scotland. I don’t just write about cycle routes, but also Scottish food and drink, hotels, walks, castles, stately homes, railways and much more.

I hope to inspire you to visit the places that I write about and also provide practical information for cyclists about how to get there.

I frequently publish new blogs and travel features, so I encourage you to follow me on Twitter or Facebook for updates. I also love to take photographs, so you can also find me on Instagram.

I have been fortunate enough to be able to work on exciting writing projects for various organisations and you can have a look at some of my work on the travel writing page.

I have talked on the radio about cycling in Scotland, being invited to the studios of East Coast FM.  I was interviewed for a podcast about cycling in Scotland for Under the Tartan Sky. I have also been a guest speaker at a digital tourism conference for Caithness and Sutherland. I was invited to speak about blogging and how it can bring more visitors to an area. I am always open to new opportunities, so please get in touch to discuss your project.
